QUICK ANATOMY- the superior cluneal nerve originates at the dorsal rami from T11 to L5. The nerve penetrates the fascia at the illiac crest and the medial cluneal nerve passes deep to the PSIS and PIIS, hence why its so hard as it mimics so many lower back conditions

RISK FACTORS- one sided pain, worse with extension and rotation, sharp and shooting pain and often constant pain
