Ergonomic exposures and development of musculoskeletal pain

Ergonomic exposures and development of musculoskeletal pain

Ergonomic factors considered in the study where back bending, arm above shoulders and lifting

Workers with high percentage of working time showed the largest increase in neck shoulder and low back pain intensity

Workers with high exposure more specific ergonomic facts had increased pain – these include long periods of standing, walking combined with lifting/carrying and twist/bend

Repetitive arm movements for the majority of the working time with or without standing/walking increased neck shoulder pain.
