The knee is one of the most frequently affected joints in the human body, with injuries involving various structures, including ligaments, menisci, cartilage, and bones .
In fact, knee injuries account for up to approx. 40% of all joint injuries in sports such as soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and running
Reinjuries commonly occur during prolonged or intense physical activities, as fatigue compromises muscle performance and neuromuscular control
2025 research looked into whether a knee brace on in injured leg improved the biomechanics of the knee, help with stabiity and if it helped reduce pain in running and jumping
The results where:
Knee became more stabilised with frontal plane movements
Reduced knee abduction during running and jumping
Increased knee flexion ovements
Less Pain
More Stabiity
