1. Can chiropractic help with repetitive strain injuries?

This can be dependant on the strain, what we would like to do at Health Wise Chiropractic is ask about your habits , to try and get to the actual root cause . Most of the time , problems in your spinal and muscle health are from repeated problems over time.  Our Drs will try to get to know you , what occurs at your workplace, is it fixable at work or home , and then we can either treat the problem or treat you to make sure you can go to work to complete your daily tasks. 

 

1. How long does recovery usually take?

Injury recovery can depend if its new ( acute ) or chronic ( long term ) . The longer you take to start care from the start of your pain/symptoms , the longer it takes to heal . A general rule of thumb is , pain is the last symptoms of dysfunction , but the first symptom to go. 

This means recovery will follow the following course - remove pain , then improve motion , then remove root cause and then maintain your ideal posture 

 

1. Is treatment covered by insurance?

 

Chiropractic care is covered by Private Health insurance , WorkSAFE and Medicare if its long term. A note with WorkSAFE, you can only see one profession in your care plan , If you claim for Chiropractic , you cant claim for the Osteopath or Physiotherapist at the same time 

 

 

1. Can I continue working while receiving treatment?

 

That is the goal , to get you returning to work , Usually there might be some time off at the start , then the drs at Health Wise Chiropractic will help with a return to work plan
